LASER VESTIBULOPLASY

Oral vestibule is the narrow space between the teeth and cheek or lips. The depth of vestibule plays a vital role in those who need to replace their missing teeth with denture. When the vestibule is too shallow, the denture has not enough grip and it will be loose. This will happen when teeth are extracted and left empty for a long time because the surrounding bone and gum will resorb. Vestibuloplasty is a dental procedure to deepen the vestibule so that denture have enough depth and surface area to take support from. The traditional way of doing it, which is using scalpel and blade, often will have relapse and the result is not predictable. With the usage of laser, the procedure is not bloody, no sutures required, recovery is fast, and there is very minimal chance of relapse.
